Allison Janney

AllisonAllison Brooks Janney was born November 19, 1959. 2] She is an American actor. Through a long career that spans 30 years, she's famous for her roles in different genres of screen and stage. Janney was nominated for two Tony Awards and has been presented with the Academy Award as well as the British Academy Film Award. Janney was born in Boston but was raised in Dayton (Ohio). The actress got a grant to education at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art when she completed her studies at Kenyon College. Janney was credited for several small and rare film and television appearances in the past. Her breakout role as C. J. Cregg on NBC's The West Wing (1999-2006) resulted in five Primetime Emmy Awards. She won the Primetime Emmy Award in 2014 for the Best Guest Actress in the lead in a drama Series for her performance in Margaret Scully's character on Masters of Sex. The most notable role she played was her portrayal Bonnie Plunkett.
